Saperavi
TASTING NOTES
Andria Gvino Saperavi is about as "natural" as wine can be - organically grown from 45 year-old un-grafted vines, hand-harvested, de-stemmed by hand, spontaneously fermented using indigenous yeasts in underground amphora (called "qvevri" in Georgia), bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfites. His saperavi is dark fruited with aromas and flavors of earthy blackberry, plum, leather and tobacco with a textured, grippy finish. Pair this flavorful red with lamb goulash or a lentil and root vegetable stew.
