The ‘Yuki Otoko’ is a mythical creature said to inhabit the snowy mountains of Niigata. Large and hairy it hides in high altitudes but is known to emerge and help lost travelers. The yeti evokes the resilience of Niigata locals amid the harsh mountain winters, and the dedication to make sake during a cold months. In the spirit of Yuki Otoko the brewery dedicates a portion of all proceeds to rescue efforts in the local mountains.
This gentle and subtle sake has notes of citrus and steamed rice. It's off dry with a light sweetness that finishes with a crisp and clean finish. It will pair well with tempura, fried oysters, tofu and edamame.
