Bandol, Provence, France

58% Mourvèdre, 40% Grenache & 2% Cinsault

With the vineyards a mere stone’s throw from the Mediterranean Sea, there is a bead of salinity that gives way to interwoven aromas and flavors of savory herbs, cherry, blood orange, almond and black licorice, all held together with a backbone of vibrant acidity. Our 2021 blend has a bit more Mourvèdre than usual which brings a strong ripe tangerine and herbs de Provence profile with notes of white cherry, peach, with underlying minerality and a dash of salinity. -Winemaker's Notes

"Brilliant orange-pink. Vibrant, sharply focused red berry and citrus fruit aromas are complemented by building pit fruit and floral accents. Juicy and well-concentrated, offering lively strawberry, redcurrant and orange pith flavors and a spicy hint of white pepper. Finishes long and subtly chewy, with the floral and pit fruit notes repeating."
91pts - James Suckling
"A fresh and elegant rose expression with some freshly cut strawberries, grapefruit and savory thyme herbs on the nose followed by a textured, medium-bodied palate. Clean, pure and pithy fi nish. Vivacious and well-balanced. 58% mourvèdre, 40% grenache and 2% cinsault. A well-made Bandol rosé.”
