Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Rhône Valley, France
VARIETAL
80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre & 10% Syrah
TASTING NOTES
The power, opulence and complexity of the Grande Réserve comes from century-old vines planted on the famous terroir of pebble stones. Rich and complex, it has an alluring nose of raspberry, red currant, spice and a hint of violet. Ripe cherry and plum are accompanied by peppery, earthy notes finishing on a full and balanced palate. Serve with duck, lamb shoulder or wild boar stew.

“Beauchene's 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape Grande Reserve ratchets up the intensity, offering copious cherry fruit and stone fruit allied to attractive notions of dried spices. Full-bodied and supple, this blend of 80% Grenache and 10% each Mourvèdre and Syrah is classic CdP, with ample length and soft, dusty tannins on the finish.”
