"Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble." Winemaker Amilcare Alberici is devoted to his wine and this Lambrusco is a true labor of love. Alberici even contacted the regional registry to have Fogarina added as a permissible varietal for Lambrusco because it was nearly unknown. To reward his efforts, the nose bequeaths a coven of lavender, cranberry, and wet leaves, while the palate is haunted by specters of raspberries, cherries and concord grapes. Pair this tongue tickler with Margherita pizza, porchetta or peach cobbler.
