This well-crafted liter of wine hailing from Maremma, along the Tuscan coast, is the hard work of winemaker Elisabetta Foradori. Foradori, famous for her Teroldego's, has partnered up with friends and financiers Thomas Widmann and Giovanni Podini to produce some truly startling and complex wines. Her Ampeleia is a cuvée full of soft berries, ripe cherry aromas, pomegranate and rustic minerals with a clean and easy finish. This gentle Italian is hard to put down and a great match for olives, cheese, charcuterie and friends.
