With four generations of wine making in her blood, vineyard owner, Helen Durand is producing some of the best wines that the Rhône Valley has to offer. Farming for Domaine Du Trapadis is all organic (certified since 2010), with some biodynamic principles applied, while much of the work in the vineyards is still being carried out by horse and plow. This wine contains a gentle perfume of plum, lavender and tobacco with the palate experiencing flavors of cherry and oregano with a touch of black olive on the end. Summer is here, so fire up the barbie...baby-back ribs, baked beans with bacon and spicy deviled eggs have met their match -or really anything off the grill.
