TASTING NOTES
Soft gold in color, the nose is dominated initially by bright citrus notes (orange zest and lemon) and ripe white fruit (pear) and yellow (apricot) and then dissolves into deeper, bottom notes of toasted brioche, apple, pine resin and wax. On the palate, sweet spices of cinnamon, vanilla and white pepper with an intense minerality give the wine an extraordinary brilliance and a taste particularly well suited for aperitifs. -Winemaker's Notes

"This vinous version is high-toned and floral on the nose, then chalky in texture and tightly meshed on the palate. Layers racy acidity with flavors of macerated raspberry, singed orange peel, dried flowers and herbs, and slivered almond. Distinctive and probably a good Champagne for food. Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir."

"Pouring a rich golden hue, the NV Champagne Grande Reserve Brut reveals an assertive and powerful nose with aromas of nectarines, clove, toasted baguette, and plum. Medium to full-bodied, it's ripe and fleshy on the palate, with a yeasty feel and a fluffy mousse. Well-done, with a hint of ripe nectarine and a brothy, savory note through the long finish, this is an autumnal wine to enjoy over the next 6-7 years. Disgorged May 2023; 5 grams per liter."

"The NV Brut Grand R,serve (2020 base) is a pretty, gracious wine. This release is based on 2020, with 39% reserve wines from a perpetual reserve that dates back to 1998. Dried cherry, tobacco, dried leaves, mint and lifted floral notes all grace this classy, wonderfully understated, airy NV offering from Dehours. Dosage is 5 grams per liter."
