TASTING NOTES
The last handful of growing seasons has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, thrills and spills, and everything in between. 2022 was no different. The Loire Valley, and notably the wines of Cheverny, were the initial inspiration for the flavor profile of Béton. Since its inception, we’ve loved bringing together a mix of varieties that perfectly fit our mission with this wine – yumminess for any occasion, the ultimate bistro wine for one and all!
The aromatics scream Cabernet Franc with violet floral overtones, plums, and berries in the background. The pallet is juicy, clean, perfectly structured and balanced with Cab Franc-y notes of pepper, dark earth, and cassis. We love the elegance and focus on plum and dark berry fruits. We attribute the success of Béton to the desire of so many to have an intriguing and food-friendly, yet never overly heavy or boozy red wine as a mainstay at the dinner table. -Winemaker's Notes
