TASTING NOTES
Just a few miles southwest of Sancerre lies the village of Quincy also known for producing very delicious and affordable sauvignon blanc. The soil’s composition of gravel and sand produces wines that display the citrus and herbal qualities of sauvignon blanc, along with a more delicate texture than those coming from Sancerre which is limestone or silex soils. The Villalin is very crisp and lively with ripe grapefruit aromas and flavors of orange blossom, gooseberry and flint tinged with fresh green herbs. Pair this zesty white with chicken dishes, seafood or asparagus risotto.
