TASTING NOTES
Quinto Quarto Bianco is an introduction into Franco Terpin's macerated white wines also known as orange wines. Their amber color comes from days or months of skin contact. It's essentially a pre-modern way of making white wine, where the colored skins of grapes are allowed to remain in contact with the juice during maceration. On the nose, wild herbs, dried flowers and dried orange zest come into play. Next, salty peaches and orange pith mingled with quenching acidity and moderate tannins unwind on the tongue. This savory wine should be served slightly chilled and pairs well with meat as well as vegetable-forward dishes and particularly with Asian food.
