Melon de Bourgogne
The Gadais estate which is in the heart of Saint-Fiacre is an island of a terroir that sits at the convergence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers which regulate the climate, protecting the area from frosts. Their vineyards, some dating back almost 100 years, bear the imprint of the ocean with stamps of lunar-like sea fossils growing old with the vines. Their entry level Muscadet has concentrated aromas of lemon peel, white flowers, ocean spray and wet river rock wafting in the glass. Bright acidity highlights zesty flavors of citrus fruit, green apple, salinity and a crisp minerality. Anything green or out of the sea will make a tasty companion to this refreshing white.
