This single-vineyard Bordeaux blend out of California, crafted by female winemaker Laura Brennan Bissell, is such a crowd-pleaser. Aged in French oak barrels, classic aromas of plum, cherry pie, cassis and cedar unfold on the palate. Let this wine breathe a little so the full, velvety flavors of black currant, baking spice and leather deepen in the glass. It has elegance and finesse and would be perfect with venison stew, a French dip sandwich, hard cow's milk cheese -Pecorino, or even a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.
