TASTING NOTES
The name Latitude was selected since the wine is composed exclusively of Chardonnays originating from the same latitude: the south of Vertus. This is a generous terroir resulting in a round, rich, charming style, which still retains the characteristic pureness of our Estate’s Champagnes. -Winemaker's Notes

91pts - Vinous
"The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Latitude 1er Cru is bright, punchy and full of character. Quite floral in this release, the Latitude is all energy. White flowers, pear, mint, white pepper and chalk all race across the palate. This release is a blend of 60% 2021 and 40% reserve wines from a perpetual blend that began in 2004. This is all class. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 2024."

92pts - Wine & Spirits
"Pierre Larmandier focuses this wine on the fruit from his vines growing in rich, deep soil south of Vertus, blending it with stock from his “perpetual reserve.” Latitude is fruity and bold, with a formidable undertone of acidity, turning the tangerine and lemon-curd flavors toward briskness and pungency. Those flavors last with chalky clarity."
