Maestro Tequilero Enrique de Colsa has spent decades mastering the craft of high quality Tequila making. He brings his expertise and artistry to the lowlands for the first time, to make The Lost Explorer Tequila. Uniquely cultivated, distilled and aged in sun-soaked Amatitán, Jalisco, the surrounding volcanic terroir gives this Tequila a distinct minerality. Our Blue Agave thrives in the volcanic lowlands region of Jalisco, spending 6 to 7 years absorbing the rich elements of the surrounding terroir. The mineral-rich volcanic soil imparts a rich sweetness to the agaves, eventually enhancing the palate beautifully.
Crafted to be sipped slowly, herbaceous and earthy notes transport you to the sun-soaked lowlands of Amatitán, Jalisco. Bright citrus on the palette transitions into spiced cinnamon and vegetal undertones. The slight minerality is a gift from the ancient volcanic terroir, with a faint sea salt finish blown in from the nearby coast. We love to pair The Lost Explorer Blanco with a mild panela cheese, earthy pistachios, or a fresh citrusy ceviche.
The Lost Explorer Tequila was created to bring the world closer to the true, natural flavors of the agave in their most pristine form. For this reason, it is made without glycerin, sugar-based syrups, oak extract, or caramel color. -Distiller's Notes
