TASTING NOTES
Located in the Alto Alentejo area in one of the hottest regions in Portugal, the Mainova wines are extremely fresh and delicate yet intoxicating. The entire harvest is manual and nocturnal, thus providing greater care for the grapes and a more careful selection. The winemaking process focuses on spontaneous fermentation, low sulphite use and minimal human intervention. The Mainova red has aromas of rich, dark, succulent fruit with hints of eucalyptus and spice. Forest berries, black fruit and florals greet you on the palate with round tannin and a delightful finish. BBQ or smoked meats are a tasty option, as well as grilled vegetables for this medium bodied Portuguese red.
