TASTING NOTES
Over a decade ago, Marco Merli left a life as a fashion designer to become a naturalista in the Umbrian hills just outside of Perugia. His goal is to show the wildness of the Umbrian hills and grape varieties by producing addictively savory wines. His Brucisco has enticing scents of lemon zest, white peach and hints of Mediterranean herbs. It has an energetic edge and combines these aromas with flavors of honey, orange blossom, spice and crisp minerality. It's not a full blown skin contact wine but the Trebbiano has 3 days of skin contact adding depth and structure giving the wine a slight amber hue.
