Kadarka, Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon & Hamburg Muscat
The Maurer family has been producing wine for four generations. It was during the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in the 19th century that they moved from Salzburg to the southern part of the Kingdom of Hungary. They now farm land in the Serbian wine region of Szabadka directly south of the Hungarian-Serbian border, and in the Fruška Gora mountain district in Syrmia, Serbia, close to Belgrade. This natural red is brimming with red fruit, orange peel, spice and light florals. It has zero additives and leans towards the cleaner side of low-intervention wines. It can be sipped on its own or with a BLT and light snacks.
