Tending the vineyards planted by his grandfather, Claudio Ancarani is now at the helm of this small winery located in Torre dell’Oriolo on the soft rolling hills that turn into the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Claudio applies natural vineyard management promoting biodiversity in his land, no herbicides and only copper and sulfur. He believes in winemaking with minimal intervention, using indigenous yeast, no new oak and adds close to zero sulfites. His Centesimino is fragrant with a pretty nose revealing red fruity notes recalling wild strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate and savory minerality with rose petal nuances. It's a great everyday wine for burgers, Chinese take-out or just sipping with friends.
