This single vineyard, co-fermented wine from a small block of Helluva in Boonville leaps out of the glass and offers a huge palate of delightful aromas and flavors. Helluva’s aromas range from lemon, grapefruit, flowery notes of rose and mint, marzipan and wafting nuances of spicy lemon peel. For all the aromatic complexity, this is a wine of fresh elegance, purity, and focus. There’s a bit more focus and freshness compared to last year’s due to the higher acids, but the flavors are just as detailed. There is a hint of crunchy lemon pith tannins from the early-picked fruit and an Adriatic quality expressed through citrus blossoms and cooling herbaceousness wholly unique to this vintage. -Winemaker's Notes
