Founded in 1987 near the town of Chinon, Béatrice and Pascal Lambert have dedicated themselves to crafting terroir-driven wines from their vineyards in Cravant and Chinon, with a focus on Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. With their trusty draft-horse Isis, they plow the rows between the vines, planting each year different cover crops to assist in the uptake of the biodynamic preparations while adding back nutrients for the following season. They closely follow the lunar cycle from vineyard to cellar, creating an ideal harmony between vine, soil and environment. This thoughtful approach results in succulent Chinons defined by remarkable grace, structure, freshness and elegance.

 

The Les Perruches has an expressive palate showing ripe red currant and blackberry alongside crushed stone, graphite, black pepper and subtle herbal notes. The palate is juicy and medium-bodied, with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannin and a pronounced mineral character. Enjoy this savory fella with a grilled hanger steak, stuffed red peppers or a lentil loaf.
