TASTING NOTES
Barbadillo’s ‘Trinidad’ bodega is known for producing some of the company’s very best Manzanilla. In 2019, in honor of the 500th anniversary of the sailing of the Trinidad (one of Magellan’s five ships) from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the solera system in the eponymous bodega was asked to produce a very select, exclusive, fresh Manzanilla sourced only from this bodega. Aged entirely under flor for 4 years, 1-2 years shorter than Solear Manzanilla, it is a truly sublime, youthful Manzanilla with the fruit of the grape still apparent before the flor turns it into the typical salty, mineral Manzanilla we would usually expect. -Importer's Notes
93pts - Wine Advocate
"A good entry-level wine to serious Manzanilla, gentle and fun but with complexity and depth, pungent and with a dry, chalky palate. This could be around four years of age, but the solera is probably 200 years old, and that gives complexity and depth because it has traces of super old wines in the blend. This represents good value for money."
