For the Gratias families, ‘Got’, meaning ‘glass’ in Valencian, symbolizes a return to the simple pleasure of enjoying wine every day. Bodegas Gratias works 10 hectares of exclusively indigenous varieties, many of which they have helped bring back from the brink of extinction. This lesser-known grape variety, Bobal, is aged in tinja (clay), giving it an earth-driven, expressive character. Aromas of green peppercorn, strawberry and cedar lead into flavors of blackberry, mocha and Bing cherry, supported by a rounded tannic structure. Versatile and food-friendly, it pairs nicely with grilled hanger steak, orange chicken or a portobello burger.
