Brij, named after Raj Parr's father, is the negociant label of Parr Wines which is inspired by the farming of friends and colleagues throughout California. His SLO Chardonnay is beautifully balanced with alluring scents of citrus skin, green apple and honeysuckle. It is crisp and linear, driven by bright acidity and flavors of Pink Lady apple, lemon peel and underripe stone fruit with a distinct mineral edge and a gentle touch of oak.
Lemon zest, lime rind and crushed chalk on the nose — precise, cool and coastal. The palate is linear and mouthwatering, with high acidity pulling the wine into a long, focused finish. Layers reveal themselves quietly: citrus giving way to oyster shell, saline brine and a flicker of lanolin. Medium bodied, complex and completely unadorned.
