In 2010, winemaker Stephane Vedeau purchased Clos Bellane, a high-altitude estate near Valréas in the Southern Rhône. He immediately converted the vineyards to organic farming and uses minimal intervention to highlight the combination of pure limestone terroir and cool climate fruit. The resulting wines are delicate, fresh and vibrant. This 100% Grenache bursts with notes of strawberry, raspberry, citrus, and a subtle floral finish, and would be great for afternoon picnics or hot summer nights.
