Contratto Bitter - 1L

Contratto Bitter is a traditional Italian red aperitivo hailing from the region of Piedmont. It is made with an infusion of 24 herbs, spices, roots and seeds featuring aloe, bitter orange, sweet orange, wormwood, cloves, cardamom, gentian, hibiscus, elecampane (herbaceous plant from the sunflower family), juniper, mint, rhubarb, sage and nettle, added to an organic wheat base distilate and sweetened with beet sugar. Carrot and beetroot extracts are then added to give it its natural red hue. It's aromatic and herbaceous with pronounced bitter orange flavors, earthy gentian, floral notes, warm spices and a lingering bittersweet finish. It makes an excellent alternative to Campari.
