Cordero San Giorgio marks a new beginning in Oltrepò Pavese for three siblings, Francesco, Lorenzo, and Caterina Cordero, who grew up surrounded by their family’s vineyards at the legendary Vietti Estate in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo. As the grandchildren of Luciana Vietti and Alfredo Currado, one of the pioneering figures behind Barolo’s first great crus, the siblings carry forward a deep-rooted family legacy of winemaking while forging their own path in Oltrepò Pavese. Nestled between the Po Valley and the Apennine Mountains, Oltrepò Pavese benefits from a unique microclimate and dramatic temperature shifts. Cool mountain breezes meet warm valley air, creating ideal conditions for Pinot Nero, while the region’s varied slopes and exposures encourage complex ripening. 

 

Their Tiāmat has inviting aromas of red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and delicate floral notes. Savory red fruit flavors play alongside subtle earthy undertones and spicy nuances with fine tannin and lively acidity giving the wine a graceful structure.
