TASTING NOTES
This is the new project of Leo Felici of the Andrea Felici winery and Andrea Cavallaro, whose family lives in Rosora where the highest Verdicchio vineyards of the Castello di Jesi appellation are to be found. The winery follows organic practices; biodiversity is a key element at their farm, where sheep are left to roam free and graze amidst the vines. The high elevation of the vineyards and the distance from the sea impart freshness and sapidity to the wines.
This Verdicchio is crisp and clean with scents of golden apple, almond skin and lemon curd that evolves in the glass. The palate is bright and lively, with flavors of grapefruit peel, ripe yellow fruit, and aromatic herbs, balanced by fresh minerality and a saline tinge that invites another sip. Serve as an aperitif or pair with anything from the sea; it also shines with roasted chicken and fresh seasonal salads.
