Damiano Ciolli revitalized his family’s four-generation winemaking legacy in Olevano Romano by salvaging historic Cesanese vines and crafting wines that highlight the elegance and depth of Southern Lazio’s noble red grape. However, when a fungus ravaged their vines and vastly reduced their usable harvet, Damiano's grandfather Franco gifted them some unimpacted Cabernet Franc. The resulting wine is a vibrant, elegant red that beautifully expresses the unique terroir of Olevano Romano. Pair it with pasta puttanesca or veal parmigiana for a true taste of Italy.
