TASTING NOTES

Domaine de Chassorney was established by pioneering natural winemaker Frédéric Cossard in 1996. Centered around leased and owned holdings near his cellar in Saint-Romain, Cossard became and continues to be one of the leading lights of natural winemaking and viticulture in the region.

 

Airy and pure, this Volnay has lifted aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and soft rose petals, accented by a gentle herbaceous note from whole-cluster fermentation. The palate is silky and fine-grained showcasing delicate red fruit, subtle earthy notes and a graceful mineral thread. Elegant, understated and with a beautiful finesse, it would grace any dinner table.
