Bertrand Graillot founded Domaine de l’Estang in 2004 which is located in the Coteaux du Giennois immediately northeast of Sancerre. Wines from this appellation tend to be breezier and lighter than Sancerre, however, Bertrand’s show greater lusciousness and breadth than is typically encountered here. This delicious bottle features the classic profile of its famed brother offering lemon-lime sorbet, light florals and zippy acidity with added depth from the extended leese contact and mouthwatering minerality. This white over-delivers for the price, move over Sancerre!
