Domaine Roche-Audran is one of the Southern Rhône’s true insider estates—quietly remote, surrounded by forest, and shaped by five generations of vinegrowers who never sought the spotlight. The entire estate is certified biodynamic, but the philosophy goes far beyond certification: soils are worked gently, biodiversity is actively cultivated, horses graze in winter, and vines share space with bees, olive trees, lavender, and wild garrigue.
This Southern Rhône field blend has a chalk-driven minerality and elegant weight with a lovely aromatic complexity. Grenache Blanc’s tension and salinity frame Viognier’s stone-fruit perfume and the floral, saline notes of Clairette and Bourboulenc. Aromatically, it shows lemon zest, white peach, toasted hazelnut, and fennel pollen, with a palate that unfolds from creamy mid-weight richness to a tightly coiled, mineral finish. It's textural enough for roasted poultry or Comté, yet vibrant enough to cut through grilled monkfish, bouillabaisse, or fennel-rubbed sea bass. -Importer's Notes
