TASTING NOTES

Originally founded in the early 1900s as a supplier of grapes to Port wine makers, the latest generation of the Carvalho Martins family has "staged a coup" — bringing the entire winemaking process under their control and selling beautifully made wines that highlight the terroir of the Douro Superiore. 

 

The nose of this Portuguese blend is intense, crisp, and complex, revealing ripe fruit aromas highlighted by grapefruit notes and the distinctive minerality of the Rabigato grape. On the palate, it stands out for its vibrant, well-balanced acidity, leading to a long, refreshing finish marked by citrus and mineral nuances. This medium-bodied blend begs to be served with roasted cod or seared scallops.
