TASTING NOTES

Originally founded in the early 1900s as a supplier of grapes to Port wine makers, the latest-generation of the Carvalho Martins family has "staged a coup" — bringing the entire winemaking process under their control and selling beautifully made wines that highlight the terroir of the Douro Superiore. 

 

The Palhete is a classic field blend paying homage to family and regional tradition. Berries and spring flowers on the nose lead to a light-bodied, juicy palate with subtle minerality. Serve this chilled with grilled octopus or savory snacks in the park.
