TASTING NOTES

Josef and Eva Maria Bauer run Weingut Familie Bauer in the Wagram wine-growing region of Austria. They focus on producing high-quality wines while being environmentally conscious, using green cover crops to enhance natural landscape diversity, which in turn reflects the terroir in their wines. Roter Veltliner is a regional specialty, and the Bauers are known for showcasing its full potential. It has extended skin contact, 11 months, giving it texture and complex notes of dried apricot, citrus zest, herbs and minerality, with a rich mouthfeel, spicy finish and balanced acidity.
