TASTING NOTES
Grown and handpicked in the heart of the Napa Valley, just north of the town of Yountville, this wine is produced in the same fashion as the Sémillons of Australia’s Hunter Valley, famous for its extraordinary abilty to age without oak. The Nacré (mother-of-pearl) was fermented in stainless steel, racked off the lees at the completion of ferment, bottled in June of 2016 and then aged undercork for an additional seven years before release. It has lush aromas of lemon curd, white peach and beeswax framed by a distinct wet-stone minerality. After opening, the palate evolves into complex layers of toasted brioache, rich honey and marmalade with a rounded mouthfeel and just the right amount of acidity to keep it lifted. What a treat!
