TASTING NOTES

Frédéric Cossard was the pioneering, natural winemaker behind Domaine de Chassorney which started in 1996 with a few hectares of vines rented in Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses. The domaine has since grown and Fred has now passed it on to his right hand man to focus on his négociant project, sourcing grapes from some of the greatest vineyards from Burgundy, Beaujolais, Jura, Rhône and Alsace. These wines are bottled eponymously, as ‘Frédéric Cossard’.

 

Feel Good is made from Savagnin grapes grown in the Jura, vinified in Burgundy and fermented and aged in egg-shaped concrete vats. It has lifted aromas and flavors of yellow apple, ripe pear, delicate honey and a touch of caramel with a savory saline edge and fine chalky minerality. Elegant, energetic and quietly complex, it should be your next wine to ponder and reflect.
