TASTING NOTES

Isola del Satiro is produced by Alcesti, a family-owned winery in Marsala, Sicily, run by Gianfranco Paladino with help from his parents and sister. The Paladino family has grown grapes for generations, originally selling them to large wineries before building their own winery in 2002 and producing their first vintage in 2003. Committed to sustainability, they farm 30 hectares organically and use minimal sulfites, hand-harvesting their grapes and often fermenting with indigenous yeasts. Their wines reflect a deep respect for their Sicilian roots and the surrounding terroir.
