La Ferme Rouge was founded in 1908, when the Phylloxera epidemic brought winemakers to Morocco seeking vineyards outside of the devastated areas in Europe. Today, a multitude of French and Spanish grape varieties thrive in the area's mixed soils. Located on the Atlantic Coast, the vines benefit from the freshness of the cooling winds off of the Atlantic Ocean just 30 miles away. The vineyards are farmed organically, with winter crops used to improve soil health.
It's crisp and dry with notes of citrus-laced strawberry, cherry and spice. Delightfully refreshing!
