La Igriega is located in Paraje Altamira, officially recognized as an Indicación Geográfica for its distinctive soils and exceptional microclimate. The vineyard’s stony, calcareous soils, rich in limestone and chalk but low in organic matter naturally limits yields and encourages deep root growth. These conditions impart pronounced minerality, freshness and natural concentration to the fruit. concentration into the fruit.
