After a brief stint in the corporate world, Marco Viglino embraced his heritage and decided to continue his family’s winemaking tradition in Barbaresco. La Vedetta (the high peak) located in the hamlet of Tre Stelle is his passion project. He is fast developing a reputation as a producer to watch in this region.
Fresh, elegant and approachable, this Nebbiolo has a tantalizing bouquet of violets and red fruit. Flavors of crushed strawberry and spiced raspberry emerge with hints of rose petal and red licorice backed by moderate tannin. It's a lovely expression of Nebbiolo and can be enjoyed with mushroom dishes, pasta with truffle oil or rich, fat, creamy cheese.
