TASTING NOTES

After a 22-year career in medical devices, Manuel Girard pivoted to winemaking in 2019 and now farms in Fleurie and Morgon among top growers, converting the old-vine parcels to organic (certification expected in 2025). His scientifically precise, low-intervention wines suggest a promising future despite only a few vintages so far.

 

The En Roue Libre is an elegant expression from Morgon, alighting the palate with ripe and juicy fruits, supple tannin, and a hint of purple flowers. This rich and expressive red will pair with almost anything, from salty blue-veined cheeses to hearty beef stews.
