TASTING NOTES

Our Blaufränkisch library consists of several dozen ‘volumes’ today, as I started collecting them from the 2016 vintage onwards. Contrary to its friend Dopamine, released at the same time, this wine is a very deliberate combination of 9 barrels that complement each other. In this wine, we don’t want to showcase the voice of one given location, vintage or point of view; its force lays in the fact that there are 9 of them, no shouting or boasting but rather a pretty civil debate. A very personal wine in which I return to the different stages of my journey and winemaking philosophies of the last decade. -Winemaker's Notes

  

The Postmoderna is approachable, fun and full of energy. Dark, deep and inky in the glass, this Blaufränkisch has scents of earth trodden forest berries with flavors of cassis, spiced plum, a whisper of oak and light minerality. Enjoy this brooding fella with bratwürst or smoked sausage or a creamy mushroom stroganoff.
