Prized for its resilience, the pale yellow-green Caña Dura, also referred to as Caña Fierro, is the most common cane variety found in Cosautlán de Carvajal, Veracruz, where this batch was distilled by fourthgeneration aguardientero Marcos López on a five-plate continuous still made of stainless steel and copper. Not only an adroit aguardiente distiller, Marcos also cultivates coffee, limes & citrus honey.
Tasting Note: The nose is salty and savory with tapenade, cucumber, watermelon, capers, and lime. The palate brings nectarine skin, golden apples, honey, oat bran, and wet rocks.
