Rioja Alavesa is nestled between the Ebro River and the Sierra Cantabria mountains in Basque Country. This area is known for its high-altitude vineyards, which benefit from cooler temperatures that enhance the wine's acidity, freshness, elegance and depth of flavors. The Chaxto has bright flavors of juicy cherry, crushed violets and a touch of earth. It's a lighter style of Rioja without oak and can be enjoyed with burgers, pizza or a grilled cheese sandwich.
