Pormenor Vinhos is the dream of owner and winemaker, Pedro Coelho to free himself from the bounds of tradition in the Douro Valley. He is locked in on the potential for Douro wines to show freshness, restrained alcohol and elegance, not high alcohol, over extraction or new oak. He works with old vines ranging 45 to 100+ years and in high elevation vineyards, which helps combat the natural heat of the valley.
The Ginga is energetic and lifted with scents of crushed sour cherry, red plum skin and wild strawberry mixed with dried rose petals. The palate is fresh and juicy with crunchy red berry flavors and subtle undertones of blood orange zest, white pepper and stony minerality playing on a savory textured finish.
