TASTING NOTES

Pormenor Vinhos is the dream of owner and winemaker, Pedro Coelho to free himself from the bounds of tradition in the Douro Valley. He is locked in on the potential for Douro wines to show freshness, restrained alcohol and elegance, not high alcohol, over extraction or new oak. He works with old vines ranging 45 to 100+ years and in high elevation vineyards, which helps combat the natural heat of the valley.

 

The Ginga is energetic and lifted, with aromas of crushed sour cherry, red plum skin and wild strawberry mingling with dried rose petals. The palate is fresh and juicy, showing crunchy red berry flavors alongside subtle notes of blood orange zest, white pepper and stony minerality, all carrying through to a savory, textured finish..
