TASTING NOTES
Quinta do Poldrado is located in northern Portugal, within the Trás-os-Montes wine region near the historic city of Chaves, an area where winemaking traditions date back to Roman times. The estate itself has a history spanning over 200 years, making it one of the oldest in the region. Throughout the surrounding landscape, you can still find ancient granite lagares, stone tanks carved directly into the rock used by the Romans for fermenting wine, a lasting testament to the region’s deep viticultural roots.
Spiced, ripe red fruit on the nose leads to a medium-bodied mouthfeel with smooth tannin, subtle earth and forest berry flavors. Enjoy this easy going red on its own or with Chinese takeout, a juicy burger or leftovers.
