TASTING NOTES
Sidónio de Sousa is one of the great wine producers in the Bairrada region and is recognized for having some of the oldest and some of the best Baga vineyards in the area. He continues to make wine in a traditional way using 100 year-old Portuguese oak barriques for his reds and champenois method for his sparklers, resulting in elegant aged (and age-worthy) wines. The Reserva is robust and just a tiny bit broody. It has black cherry, earth, leather and pepper flavors with forest floor aromas and lingering tannin. It's big and bold and would be a perfect companion to roasted or seared meats.
