Opened in 1952 by legendary master distiller Don Ignacio González Vargas, Casa Siete Leguas has become one of the most prestigious distilleries in Mexico. It first garnered international prestige when it produced the original tequila used to launch the now famous Pátron brand in the late '80s. The famed producer is now better known—and rightfully so—as the creator of critically acclaimed Siete Leguas 100% Agave Tequilas.
Siete Leguas Reposado is a unique tequila with an intense personality comes to life in strong flavors of cooked agave enhanced with light woody notes. The flavor of cooked agave in harmony with the freshness of herbal flavors such as spearmint, mint, chamomile and citrus notes such as grapefruit and lime; paired with sweet, very light flavors coming from the barrels such as caramel, vanilla and some dried fruit (raisins and prunes). The aftertaste is persistent without losing flavor long after having tasted the tequila, making the presence of the fruit flavor and the sweet notes of wood, caramel and vanilla more marked without losing the flavor of the cooked agave. -Distiller's Notes
