TASTING NOTES
L'Ancien comes from Jean Paul Brun's oldest vines, 40-60 years old and vinified in a traditional Burgundian style rather than carbonically macerated. This Beaujolais has a great aromatic lift, mineral intensity and vibrant acidity. It is perfectly balanced with complex layers of raspberry, earthy strawberry, red currant, rhubarb, smoke and dried herb spice. It would make a friendly companion to lighter pork and poultry dishes, soft-center cheeses or a baby greens salad with goat cheese and cranberries.
